Lazio coach Simone Inzaghi expects ‘no problems’ regarding his future and confirms Luis Alberto can't play against Spezia.
The Biancocelesti host the Ligurians on Saturday but Inzaghi was quizzed about his own future at the Olimpico.
Rumours have recently suggested patron Claudio Lotito is looking for possible replacements, as Inzaghi has yet to sign a new deal with Lazio.
“You know, I will meet with the President soon,” Inzaghi said at a press conference. “I don’t think there will be any problems. We’ll meet and see what to do.
“Even yesterday, in a painful moment, we met.”
Inzaghi was referring to the funeral of Lazio youth player Daniel Guerini, who was tragically killed in a car accident.
“Guerini’s funeral was very painful for the whole world around Lazio,” Inzaghi. “It brought me back in time to the tragedy of Fersini.”
The Biancocelesti return to action against Spezia and Vincenzo Italiano’s men have proved they can give the top teams problems.
“We come from two important wins in a row,” Inzaghi said. “Tomorrow we must build on that.
“We must reconnect the plug in the best possible way. Going to the national team is a source of great pride for everyone.
“But I hope to find everyone as I left them.”
“He had a major sprained ankle,” Inzaghi confirmed. “We will certainly not have him available.
“There are hopes for Verona, he will work every day with the staff.”
The coach also said Ciro Immobile is in doubt ahead of the next game.
“I saw Ciro yesterday, I talked to him for 10 minutes,” Inzaghi said. “He comes from a tough game, he played 90 minutes on a synthetic pitch on Wednesday.
“It’s too early to know if he will play, I will talk to him and evaluate his condition.”
