Gian Piero Gasperini felt Atalanta ‘at times did really well’ against Udinese, but the match ‘remained a bit open after 3-2’.
The Orobici scored two goals through Luis Muriel in the first half, but Roberto Pereyra reduced the deficit just before half time.
Duvan Zapata restored the two-goal lead, but Udinese responded a second time through Jens Stryger Larsen.
Gasperini said he was happy with the three points after returning from the international break.
“Let’s look at our path,” Gasperini told Sky Sport Italia. “We won a match after returning from the break and at times we played really well.
“We managed to score two goals straight away, then we conceded. At 3-1, we conceded another one and the result remained a bit open after the 3-2 goal.
“But there were no other noteworthy incidents.”
