Antonio Sanabria considers it ‘a pity’ that Torino were only able to hold Juventus 2-2 after his two goals either side of half-time.
The January signing bagged a brace that had given Toro the 2-1 lead, but Cristiano Ronaldo’s equaliser was at first ruled offside, then given via VAR.
“It’s a very important point for us and the situation we were going through. It’s a pity we didn’t bring home all three points, but we hold on to the performance,” Sanabria told DAZN.
“It’s my first derby here and I am happy to help the team. Obviously, forwards need to contribute with goals and I am glad we managed to get a positive result with my goals.
“The coach tries to find something positive in every game and I think that is the right path to ensure we can maintain our Serie A status.
“I want to tell the fans that we miss them, we still feel their support and want to do our best for them. We gave our all on the pitch and I believe we can achieve our aim.”
