Milan forward Mario Mandzukic has struggled with injuries since his return to Italy and the Rossoneri are reportedly not planning to renew his contract.

The former Juventus striker returned to Serie A in January and was thought to help ease the large responsibility on Zlatan Ibrahimovic up front.

Mandzukic, capped 89 times by Croatia, picked up four Scudetti and three Coppa Italia during his time with Juventus.

The former Croatia international moved to Al-Duhail in January 2020 but returned to Serie A after one year.

But Milan coach Stefano Pioli has been without the former Croatia international for 10 games, and the next match against Parma could be the 11th.

Tuttosport claims Mandzukic has the run-in to prove Milan wrong, but that the club currently has no intention of renewing his contract after a disappointing return few months.

The 34-year-old has played five competitive games for the Diavolo and has not scored in the Rossonero shirt.
