Danilo: 'Juve battling for fourth'

Danilo urges Juventus to build on the victory over Napoli and find some consistency, but admits their target now is to ‘fight for a Champions League place.’

This was a head-to-head for fourth spot, decided by Cristiano Ronaldo and Paulo Dybala, despite a late Lorenzo Insigne penalty.

“We knew how important this game was. We can suffer at times, but if we suffer together and believe in ourselves, then we win at the end.

“We have to continue like this and play good football,” he told Sky Sport Italia.

However, Juve again conceded a late goal with the Insigne penalty.

“At the end of the day, the great teams are the consistent ones. We are struggling this season with that, but those of us who are a little more experienced must take the team in hand and I think we can go far.

“We are the first to be disappointed at having dropped points and know that if we’d done better in the so-called smaller games, we would’ve been fighting for the title.

“Now we are here fighting for a Champions League place and we’ve got to battle it out week by week.”
