Matteo Paro believes Hellas Verona ‘have improved’ despite a 1-0 defeat against Lazio.
Paro replaced the suspended Ivan Juric, while Simone Inzaghi’s assistant was on the bench for the Biancocelesti as their coach Simone Inzaghi had tested positive for COVID earlier this week.
“Verona have improved a lot. It was not easy to play such a game against a strong team like Lazio,” Paro told DAZN.

“Verona played a great game. Lazio defend very well and can score anytime, as they proved today. We lacked a little bit of quality with the final ball. We wasted a few opportunities in the first half. Unfortunately, we conceded a late goal."
Verona have already reached the 40-point mark.
