Sneijder set to miss Juventus

It’s looking increasingly unlikely that Wesley Sneijder will be fit for Sunday’s big match between Juventus and Inter.

The Dutchman has pretty much recovered from a right thigh problem, but the club don’t want to rush him back into action.

The former Real Madrid man didn’t train with the squad today, he instead had a physiotherapy session as well as a work out in the gym.

Cristian Chivu and January signing Fredy Guarin did take part in Wednesday’s session, as did Dejan Stankovic.

The two teams will meet at the Juventus Stadium on Sunday night and the home side may have Andrea Barzagli at their disposal again.

The 2006 World Cup winner hasn’t played since the 1-1 draw with Chievo because of a calf problem.

Boss Antonio Conte will be forced into one change as right-back Stephan Lichtsteiner is suspended. Martin Caceres is likely to replace him.
