Milan forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been suspended for one match after the sending off for dissent against Parma on Saturday.
The Disciplinary Commission has given the veteran a one-match ban and a fine of €5,000 ‘for having uttered, with a provocative attitude, disrespectful criticism to the match official’.
The Swede was shown a straight red card when Milan were 2-0 up at the Stadio Tardini and seemed bemused by the decision from referee Fabio Maresca.
Reports in Italy claimed Zlatan would appeal the red card, as he believes the referee misunderstood what he said.
The 39-year-old will miss the next match against Genoa, scheduled for Sunday at 11.30 UK time.
