Ricardo Rodriguez’s agent points the finger of blame at Torino coach Davide Nicola for ‘not having the experience’ to appreciate the player.
“We cannot figure out why Ricardo is not used more regularly,” agent Haroon Masoodi told 4-4-2.com in Switzerland.
“Perhaps the new coach does not have the experience and therefore cannot fully appreciate Ricardo’s qualities, or he doesn’t fully understand how to use them within the team.
“Naturally, we expected something very different from this season. That much is clear.”
The 28-year-old left-back was sold to Toro for €3m from Milan in September 2020, when the coach was Marco Giampaolo.
Rodriguez has made 14 Serie A appearances and two in the Coppa Italia this season, but only played once in the last 10 games.
