According to La Gazzetta dello Sport and Calciomercato.com, Milan could decide to sack Pioli if the Rossoneri fail to qualify for the Champions League this season.

The point-per-game average has dropped from 2,26 to 1,60 in 2021 with the Rossoneri who lost five home games since January.

The Rossoneri were crowned Winter Champions in January, but if they miss out on a Champions League placement, they will become the first club to drop from first to fifth in Serie A history.

Pioli signed a contract extension until 2022 one year ago, but the last five games of the season could be crucial for his future.

As per Calciomercato.com, Verona’s Ivan Juric is among the candidates to replace Pioli if the former Lazio coach is sacked at the end of the season.

According to the report, Massimiliano Allegri is also an option. The Tuscan tactician was the last Milan coach to earn a Champions League spot in 2012-13, but seems close to returning to Juventus to replace Andrea Pirlo.
