Fikayo Tomori met with Milan directors this evening, amid reports the club is trying to negotiate a discount on the €28m Chelsea clause.

The defender moved to San Siro on loan in January with an option to buy worth €28m.

He has impressed so much in the last few months that he effectively pushed captain Alessio Romagnoli to the bench.

Tomori has taken over as first choice centre-back alongside Simon Kjaer.

Sky Sport Italia spotted Tomori at the Casa Milan headquarters this evening, for a meeting with directors Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara.

It’s reported they discussed options for the future, as Milan would certainly like to keep Tomori, but are also aware that €28m is a lot of money for someone who couldn’t get playing time at Stamford Bridge.

Much will depend on whether the Rossoneri qualify for the Champions League, which is still up in the air after recent poor results.
