Report: Milan won't sack Pioli

Milan have reportedly decided to continue with Stefano Pioli, even if the Rossoneri should miss out on the Champions League.

Several reports in Italy claimed Milan could sack Pioli if the Diavolo miss out on a top-four finish in 2020-21.

The Rossoneri are currently level on points with Juventus and Napoli, but are outside of the top four on goal difference.

Amid the speculation regarding Pioli’s future at Milanello, Tuttosport reports the club has already decided to continue with the former Fiorentina man.

The newspaper claims Pioli himself is convinced he can lead Milan to the Champions League, but underlines that the club doesn’t consider parting ways with the tactician.

Pioli’s contract expires in June 2022 and the two parties are expected to honour the current deal.
