Christian Panucci believes Juventus will qualify for the Champions League, so Milan ‘will battle it out with Atalanta and Napoli.’

The race is incredibly tight for a top four finish, as while Inter can win the Scudetto tomorrow, the Champions League spots will go down to the wire.

As things stand, Atalanta are second on 68 points, followed by Napoli, Juventus and Milan all on 66.

Even Lazio aren’t out of it, as they have 61 points and a game in hand to be played against Torino.

“Despite everything, I see the Bianconeri in the top four,” retired defender Panucci told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“Stefano Pioli will battle it out with Atalanta and Napoli, but those two are really hitting their form now. The whole race was dependent on Juve, who performed well below expectations. They switched off the Scudetto race and lit up a different one instead.”

Inter are 11 points clear at the top and will be crowned champions if they beat Crotone today and Atalanta fail to gain a victory away to Sassuolo on Sunday.

“I didn’t expect Inter to win the Scudetto so early, but that doesn’t mean it’s not deserved. Inter earned this, gradually improving all the time,” continued Panucci.

“Juventus did really badly, there’s no denying it. Even Andrea Pirlo was honest and said he is the first to be unsatisfied with how things have gone.

“Juve have the strongest squad on paper, but never gave the impression they could win the Scudetto.”
