Nicolò Zaniolo and Alessandro Florenzi liked Roma’s Instagram post announcing the appointment of José Mourinho.
The Giallorossi surprisingly announced the appointment of the former Tottenham coach today.
According to reports, Mourinho has signed a €7m-a-year deal and Spurs will pay part of his salary in his first season at the Stadio Olimpico.
Zaniolo has missed the entire campaign due to a knee injury but seems to have appreciated the club’s decision to bring the Special One to the Stadio Olimpico.
Florenzi is on loan at PSG and it is still unclear whether the Ligue 1 giants will sign him on a permanent deal.
PSG have an option to sign the Italy international permanently for €8m at the end of the season.
He left Roma in January 2020 due to his lack of playing time under Paulo Fonseca.
He first joined Valencia on loan before moving to PSG the following October.
With Fonseca on his way out of Roma and an uncertain future in France, Florenzi may return to the Capital to work under the Portuguese tactician.
Davide Santon also liked the post. The defender won the Champions League with Inter in 2010.
