Gianluigi Donnarumma has shared an Instagram post ahead of Sunday’s Milan clash against Juventus and it appears to be a response to the criticism from the Rossoneri’s fans.
Donnarumma met a group of Milan ultras on Saturday.
He was urged to sign a contract extension with the Rossoneri before the game against Juventus, one of the clubs that are rumoured to be interested in securing his services.
Donnarumma’s contract expires in June, meaning he can already sign with a new club and leave Milan as a free agent in the summer.
According to reports, the 22-year-old ensured Milan fans he hadn’t reached an agreement with the Old Lady and left the meeting in tears.
Donnarumma has sent a further message to Milan supporters through his official Instagram account.
He posted a picture of today’s training session, writing ‘focused’ as a caption. The Italy international will have to prove that at the Allianz Stadium on Sunday.
Juventus and Milan are level on points with Atalanta in second place with four games remaining.
Mario Mandzukic returned to group training today and will be available to face his former club Juventus next weekend.
