Serie B side Cittadella are in shock after midfielder Christian D’Urso was investigated for vehicular manslaughter in the death of a staff member.
According to Il Gazzettino newspaper, the incident occurred on April 23, but 77-year-old Lino Simonetto died in hospital after six days.
It is reported that 23-year-old midfielder D’Urso was at the wheel when his car struck Simonetto’s bicycle close to the training ground.
Following Simonetto’s death, the next step is for D’Urso to be investigated for vehicular manslaughter.
