Inter will not fine Romelu Lukaku, Achraf Hakimi, Ivan Perisic and Ashley Young, after the Nerazzurri players were stopped outside a hotel by the police.

The players were stopped and sanctioned by the local police at 3.00am and reports emerged regarding the Belgium international's birthday celebrations, but SportMediaset reveals the players will not be punished by the Nerazzurri.

The broadcaster claims Inter have no intention of fining the players, as there was no birthday party for the former Manchester United striker, but a post-match dinner that lasted far beyond what is allowed.

Lukaku, Hakimi, Perisic and Young were stopped by the police and sanctioned for breaking the curfew, as they left the hotel to return to their respective homes.

None of them would have been sanctioned had they remained at the hotel overnight.

ANSA also reports the Inter players didn’t attend a birthday party, but a simple dinner after the 3-1 win over Roma on Wednesday.

The news agency reveals the players only violated the curfew, as some of the players had decided to not stay overnight but go home.

On their way to their respective cars, they were stopped and fined for breaking the curfew.
