While Lazio wanted Torino to forfeit the result 3-0 for not following the COVID protocols, the Lega Serie A and FIGC were always clear that there was no other choice but to postpone.

Napoli’s trip to Juventus had set the legal precedent, confirming the ASL (local health authority) has the right to over-rule the football COVID protocol.

This means Lazio will host Torino at the Stadio Olimpico on May 18, just days before the end of the season.

Lazio are still fighting for a possible top four finish, while Toro aren’t yet safe from relegation.
