Serie A champions Inter have asked their players to give up two months wages, but most Serie A clubs are struggling financially due to the impact of the COVID pandemic.

“There are no problems, we are all looking at the situation appealing to conscience, but I can assure you all contractual obligations will be fulfilled,” said Inter director Beppe Marotta two weeks ago.

According to Il Corriere dello Sport and La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus have asked their players to postpone the payment of wages for four months, from March, until May.

Andrea Pirlo insisted last week the players and staff have received regular payments so far.

“The football world has to pay attention to these situations during a financial crisis for the sector. We have paid all the wages regularly, which we are proud of,” Juventus CFO Fabio Paratici said on Saturday.

“We have no collective negotiation process, we will speak to the players individually at the end of the season to see if we need to do anything.”
