Allegri seems to have his heart set on Real Madrid and many Spanish sources suggest he would be the first choice if Zinedine Zidane were to leave this summer.

This is also leading him to keep Napoli waiting, despite being the first pick for President Aurelio De Laurentiis following the breakdown of his rapport with Gennaro Gattuso.

Even a return to Juventus was suggested, two years after his dismissal, but Andrea Pirlo winning the Coppa Italia could be enough to earn him another chance in Turin.

A great deal will depend on whether Juventus qualify for the Champions League.
