“Inter deserve this celebration for the season they’ve had, but Udinese will give our all on the pitch,” assured Gotti in his press conference.

“I intend to field the most competitive line-up at my disposal at this moment. Bram Nuytinck tried in training on Thursday, but we realised it was simply not possible for him to play, so he won’t be in the squad.

“We had a terrible start to this season and should’ve had at least 10 more points, so it’s disappointing that we weren’t able to finish in the top half of the table or improve upon last term.

“We did achieve three objectives, which were to secure safety, to do it without particularly struggling at any point and of course contributing to the growth of many players.”

Udinese also have an interesting record, as they are the only club so far to have prevented Inter from scoring.

“We achieved that thanks to a great team performance and it’s what we intend to go for tomorrow as well. Inter have accustomed us to a certain type of mentality, they won’t take their foot off the gas.”
