“I’ve learned many things in Italy, it’s been an important experience for me and my future,” Fonseca told Sky Sport Italia.

“It was a pleasure to coach Roma, I feel I have improved. Italian football is not easy, but I can say I have adapted and I am a different coach now.”

“There are few possibilities to stay or to leave. Let’s see what happens next week,” he replied.

When asked if he could join Fiorentina, he said: “I can’t say anything yet,” and smiled when a Sky Sport journalist commented: “that means yes.”
