Parma have officially announced the departure of sporting director Marcello Carli and coach Roberto D’Aversa.

The Gialloblu, who have been relegated to Serie B after a difficult campaign, are changing the air at the Ennio Tardini.

The club announced on their official website that D’Aversa will not continue as head coach of the Crociati and Carli will step down from his position as sporting director.

At the same time the Gialloblu announced Mauro Pederzoli will take over after Carli.

“Parma Calcio 1913 announces that Marcello Carli and Roberto D’Aversa have been relieved of their duties, respectively as sporting director and first team coach,” President Kyle Krause said in a statement.

“The club thanks Marcello, Roberto and his staff for the work done at our club and wishes them the best for the rest of their careers.”

D’Aversa returned to the job in January, as Parma sacked Fabio Liverani after a poor start to the season.

But the coach who lifted the club from Serie C to the top tier didn’t manage to turn things around and leaves as the Ducali return to Serie B.
