For his first Serie A game in charge, Inter Coach Andrea Stramaccioni is reportedly considering giving Mauro Zarate a starting berth.

Stramaccioni, who took over this week from Claudio Ranieri, was reluctant to discuss the type of formation he would be using with the Nerazzurri when unveiled to the Press.

However, work in training suggests that he is preparing for Genoa’s visit to San Siro on Sunday in a 4-3-3 shape and that Argentine forward Zarate will be in the starting line-up.

Since arriving on a 12-month loan from Lazio last summer, Zarate has struggled for game-time with Inter. Ranieri regularly criticised his inability to follow instruction on the pitch, whilst the player and his agent are uncertain if he’ll remain with the club come June.
