The Glasgow veterans got the only goal of the game when Ally McCoist came off the bench to nod in a Giovanni van Bronckhorst cross.

Other Milan old boys in this charity match included Alessandro ‘Billy’ Costacurta, Jean-Pierre Papin, Daniele Massaro, Massimo Taibi, Stefano Nava, Angelo Carbone, Stefano Eranio, Diego Fuser, Alberigo Evani, Ibrahim Ba and Gigi Lentini.

Among the Rangers men were Brian Laudrup, Mark Hateley, Paul Gascoigne, Andy Goram, Jorg Albertz, Michael Mols, Arthur Numan and Lorenzo Amoruso.
