It is reported Milan have agreed a deal to snap up Bakaye Traore on a free transfer from Nancy this summer.

The Rossoneri have made a habit of seeking out players who are out of contract in order to reinforce the squad without spending too much money.

According to French newspaper L’Equipe, Milan have agreed terms with 27-year-old Nancy midfielder Traore.

The Mali international has scored five goals in his last four games and would be available on a Bosman transfer, prepared to sign a three-year contract.

“Along with Barcelona, Manchester United and Real Madrid, I think Milan are the most important club in the world. I am honoured to hear the Rossoneri are interested in me,” he said a few days ago.

It is believed Traore was also a target for Olympique Marseille, Lille, Newcastle United and Aston Villa.

Meanwhile, a former Milan free transfer signing is expected to make his loan move to QPR permanent, as the club has no intention of bringing Taye Taiwo back to San Siro.
