Milan could sacrifice Boateng

The Gazzetta dello Sport is today suggesting that Kevin Prince Boateng may be sold by Milan in order to raise funds.

Although the paper does make it clear that a sale is not certain, it does state that the club could consider such an option for a number of reasons.

Boateng is one of the outfit’s most valuable assets, an attacking midfielder who has the potential to fetch around €18m on the transfer market.

Now may also be the time to cash in on the player who has had his physical problems during the 2011-12 campaign.

Boateng, 25, has been limited to just four goals in 14 League games for the Rossoneri this term.

The Gazzetta also alleges that Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri is not totally happy with the player’s discipline.

Real Madrid, the story continues, could be interested in the former Portsmouth man who joined the Rossoneri in 2010.

The Gazzetta doesn’t think that the Diavolo would consider offers for €40m rated Thiago Silva, while it doubts any other club would pay €30m for Zlatan Ibrahimovic and then give him €9m a season in wages.
