Fabio Capello has denied contact with Milan – but opened the door for a return to coaching in Italian football.

The former England boss has been paired with the Diavolo in recent weeks, firstly as a director and then as a Coach.

While he ruled out the former, he did admit that he could be tempted by another spell in Serie A as a tactician.

The former England boss has been paired with the Diavolo in recent weeks, firstly as a director and then as a Coach.

While he ruled out the former, he did admit that he could be tempted by another spell in Serie A as a tactician.

“I was behind a desk for years,” the former Roma and Juventus tactician told Sky Sport Italia. “I want to continue coaching.

“I want to work abroad, but would consider Italy if an interesting project was offered to me.

“I’ve read the stories linking me to Milan, but none of it is true. I have had no contact with them whatsoever.”

Capello has also been associated with Inter and Chelsea, as well as the Chinese national side.

He quit his post with England in February after the English FA decided to strip Chelsea defender John Terry of the captaincy.
