Nicola Legrottaglie wants to continue his Serie A career at Catania after his fine first season with the club.
The 35-year-old joined the Elefanti last summer after his contract at Milan wasn’t extended by Vice-President Adriano Galliani.
“I immediately settled into the place, there is a great environment here and I want to continue my career in Catania,” he told the Gazzetta dello Sport.
“This squad has grown a lot since the start of the season,” said the centre-back who has scored five goals in 30 League games this term.
“Now we must end the season in the best way possible and give our all in the last game, even if we will face an Udinese side who will have a different stimulus to us.”
Catania are safe from relegation, while Udinese need a win to make sure of their place in next season’s Champions League.
The former Chievo and Juventus stopper still has another 12 months to run on his contract with the outfit.
