Mazzarri: 'Napoli can make it'

Walter Mazzarri says Napoli have not lost hope of reaching the Champions League. “We have to beat Siena and hope.”

The Partenopei were in joint third place going into the weekend’s games and the favourites to clinch it, but were surprisingly beaten 2-0 by Bologna.

Now Udinese need only a point in Catania to secure the spot, while Lazio and Inter are also in the running.

“Now it doesn’t only depend on us and we are tied to the results of the other teams,” confessed Mazzarri.

“We have to beat Siena with all of our might and are working hard on that. After that, we can only hope.

“I am convinced Catania will play a great game against Udinese, just as Bologna did with us. This campaign is truly uncertain and right now we just have to end on a high.”

Edinson Cavani, Salvatore Aronica and Blerim Dzemaili are suspended for the final match at the Stadio San Paolo.
