“We have to try to finish off this not very positive season in the best way we can, but also take into account the fact we are facing a great team,” said the Coach.

“Our treatment table is crowded and we have a few problems, but there are some players who ought to recover in time.

“It is our last chance to get a positive result and we have to do our best. Roma play good football, keep possession and can break you down with the quality of their players, both young and the old guard.”

It will also be Luis Enrique’s final game on the Roma bench, as he is leaving the club after just one season.

“Coaches need to be given more time to change the entire philosophy of football, especially when bringing one that is so different to what we’re used to in Italy,” argued Beretta.

“Roma had ups and downs, but a year is not enough to judge a Coach, especially when changing so many players.”
