The Argentine has been heavily linked with the Nerazzurri over the last few days and an agreement has been reached.

“A lot of players have asked to leave,” President Enrico Preziosi told Sky Sport Italia. “Inter have been following him for two years, so there was an opportunity for both clubs.

“There is an agreement and also a handshake. We could also discuss a possible swap deal, we’ll just have to wait and see.”

While Palacio is on his way out, Preziosi added that Ciro Immobile would come in from Pescara given that he is co-owned with Juventus” data-scaytid=”11″>Juventus.

“He will definitely arrive,” the chief added.

The Marassi supremo did however state that the future of Mattia Destro, co-owned with Siena, was still in doubt.

“His situation is not clear,” he added. “There is the co-ownership to resolve with Siena first. I paid €5m for Destro. The transfer whispers confirm his value, but we have to see what is best.”

The striker, 12 Serie A goals with Siena this term, is wanted by clubs such as Inter, Juventus and Roma.

Preziosi added that he intends to make changes to both the squad and the directors at the club this summer.

He also stated that Gigi De Canio is in pole position to keep his job as Coach, but that nothing had been decided yet.
