The Republic of Ireland beat Bosnia 1-0 in today’s friendly test, as they prepare to face Italy in Euro 2012.

Giovanni Trapattoni’s team welcomed Bosnia-Herzegovina to Dublin for this afternoon’s match and will then travel to their training camp in Italy’s Montecatini Terme.

It was a 1-0 victory thanks to Shane Long’s header at the back post from an Aiden McGeady cross at the 77th minute.

They could’ve added more to that tally, but both Jon Walters and McGeady were denied by the frame of the goal in the second half.

The Republic of Ireland are in Group C with Italy, Spain and Croatia. They face the Azzurri on June 18.
