Inter goalkeeper Julio Cesar shot down transfer rumours. “I am staying and I want to win the Europa League.”

The Brazilian had to pull out of the team’s trip to Indonesia due to a back injury.

“Many rumours circulated this season, but they are totally unfounded,” said Julio Cesar on SportItalia.

“I never received an offer and above all have a contract with Inter until 2014. I want to end that on a high, winning the Scudetto and Champions League.”

At least one of those targets will have to wait, as the Nerazzurri are only in an early preliminary round for the Europa League.

“This season has not gone very well and we tried to the end, but now I want to win the Europa League. It is a trophy that’s missing from my CV.

“When I arrived at Inter nobody really cared about the Coppa Italia, but only after we won it did the trophy rediscover its prestige and now everyone wants to lift it.”

The club is reinforcing for next term and have already secured a deal for Genoa striker Rodrigo Palacio.

“I am happy at Palacio’s arrival, as he is a great striker and he’ll find a marvellous atmosphere here at Inter,” added Julio Cesar.

“Will Wesley Sneijder stay? I don’t know, you’d have to ask him.”
