Alessandro Del Piero is still considering his options and opened the door to South America. “Latin football is also my football.”

The Juventus legend is a free agent and eager to continue his playing career outside of Serie A.

“I still don’t know what I’ll do or where I will go. I will analyse everything that could happen,” he told ESPN Argentina.

“Has David Trezeguet talked to me about River Plate? No, we didn’t discuss it. Maybe someone will call me… After all, Latin football is also my football.”

His ex-Juventus teammate Trezeguet was also released from his contract in 2010 and moved to Argentina with River Plate in January 2012.

Del Piero has been linked with a move to the MLS in America for the likes of LA Galaxy or New York Red Bulls, while it’s reported he rejected a new offer from Montreal Impact.

The Premier League is also an alternative, as Arsenal are thought to be interested in giving the veteran a shot at the English game.

Spanish side Malaga have been mentioned as potential options too.
