Fiorentina target Dirk Kuyt has left Liverpool after securing a three-year deal with Turkish side Fenerbahce.

The Dutchman had been linked with a swap deal with Viola star Juan Manuel Vargas earlier this week, but that option never really got off the ground.

“Liverpool Football Club can confirm that Dirk Kuyt has advised the club that he has today reached an agreement with Fenerbahce SK over a move to Turkey, and the transfer is expected to be completed in the next few days.

“Everyone at Liverpool Football Club would like to wish Dirk all the very best for the future and thank him for his contribution to the club.”

The 31-year-old made the move for an undisclosed fee, having been at Anfield since 2006 with 51 goals in 200 Premier League appearances.
