Bojan Krkic has bravely announced that Roma’s objective for the new season will be to win the Scudetto.

The Giallorossi are rebuilding after last term’s seventh place finish saw Zdenek Zeman recalled to the bench following the resignation of Luis Enrique.

“The target will be to become champions,” the 21-year-old stated on Wednesday afternoon. “We know that won’t be easy, but we’ll all start on zero points.”

The young Spaniard joined the capital club from Barcelona last summer, but he did have his difficulties at the Stadio Olimpico.

“I thought I would play more than I did,” he admitted. “But I did end the campaign well. I’ve opted to stay and now I want a positive year.

“I am still just 21 and I still need to grow.

“I don’t know what Zeman wants from me yet. I like to play as a centre-forward, but if he wants to use me in a wider role then I will be at his disposal.

“I want to score 20 goals this season, but the team comes first…”

The Spanish international scored seven goals in 37 games for the Lupi in 2011-12.
