Milan are reportedly thinking about making a move for Catania’s 28-year-old creative midfielder Francesco Lodi this summer.

Thought to be in the market for another creative midfielder and likely to have the finances to fund a move with Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva’s impending sale to Paris Saint-Germain, the Rossoneri have been paired with Lodi.

The deep-laying creative midfielder impressed for the Elefanti last term, scoring nine times and assisting a further seven, having a direct involvement in almost 35 per cent of Catania’s goals last term.

Off the back of this form, a number of clubs have been linked with the player and today the Corriere dello Sport say Milan are considering a €5m move for the former Udinese man.

Milan are also one of several clubs linked with Sampdoria’s midfielder Andrea Poli this Saturday, in reaction to his calling off talks last week with rivals Inter.
