The local boy has returned to the Stadio San Paolo this summer after loan spells at Foggia and then Pescara under Zdenek Zeman.
Although he admits that it may take him some time to break into the first team plans of boss Walter Mazzarri, he wants to make an impact in the Italian Super Cup Final.
“I will gradually enter the squad,” he commented. “For the moment I am learning from the great champions that I have ahead of me, but I want a goal against Juventus.”
The Azzurri, Coppa Italia winners, will take on League champions Juve in the Super Cup tie in Beijing on August 11.
Insigne, born in June 1991, is an Italian Under-21 international.
