Sampdoria have admitted that Napoli are interested in Andrea Poli – but a deal for the midfielder has yet to be done.

Poli is back at Marassi after spending last season on loan at Inter, yet he will soon be on the move again.

“He has returned to Sampdoria because Inter, who were expected to keep him, didn’t take up their option to do so,” Samp sporting director Pasquale Sensibile told Radio CRC.

“Poli’s sale to Napoli has not happened yet though. It is true that the two clubs are speaking and an agreement could be reached.

“However, the player will then have to OK any switch. There is no deal right now, but let’s say that there is a good relationship between the two clubs.”

Poli is valued at around €6m by the port outfit, while Milan are also said to be keen on the 22-year-old.
