“Due to the emergence of numerous rumours in the media that FC Anzhi were in talks for players Douglas Maicon and Wesley Sneijder, please be advised this information is baseless,” read a statement on the club website.
“The club has not conducted any negotiations for the transfer of these football players to our team.
“FC Anzhi are quick to confirm signings with the media and fans.”
Inter have done business with Anzhi before, selling them Samuel Eto’o last year with wages of €20m per season.
It is also not the first time that Sneijder has been linked with the side.
