Milan have officially communicated that they are willing to refund supporters who have bought season tickets this summer.

The Rossoneri fan-base has reacted angrily in recent days to the mass exodus at the club during the current transfer window.

One group of fans has filed a lawsuit for ‘false advertising’, due to Thiago Silva and Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s implied presence for 2012-13 being followed by their sale to Paris Saint-Germain, whilst another group staged a mock funeral scene outside the club’s headquarters in Via Turati this weekend.

Adriano Galliani intimated that unhappy supporters could collect a refund if they no longer wanted their season ticket and this has now been confirmed through the club’s official website.

“Milan has confirmed its readiness to dissolve agreements for season tickets for the first team’s home games for 2012-13, under conditions specified and inside a specific time period,” read the note.

“Milan firmly reiterates that this willingness is dictated by the need for style and love of the club towards its supporters and independent of any legal analysis. Milan, on the contrary believes that the [lawsuit filed] is without foundation.”
