Rodrigo Palacio, Yuto Nagatomo and Andrea Ranocchia spared Inter blushes in tonight’s scraped 3-2 friendly win over Como.

New buy Gaby Mudingayi was used from the start with Palacio as centre-forward supported by Nagatomo, Wesley Sneijder and Philippe Coutinho.

Nagatomo was in a more advanced role than usual and took full advantage, opening the scoring by hooking on to a long Sneijder pass with his right heel and firing in an angled drive with his left boot.

Ranocchia nodded in Coutinho’s cross for a second, while there were tough saves to deny Fredy Guarin and Palacio.

However, defensive errors prompted big risks for the Nerazzurri, who allowed Schiavino to turn in the rebound from Tremolada.

Palacio added a third against the run of play in a sluggish second half, pouncing on a mistake to turn a daisy-cutter in off the inside of the far post.

It wasn’t over, as Matteo Bianchetti’s error sent Mazzocca on the counter to beat Vid Belec one-on-one.
