Genoa have announced that they have taken young forward Giammario Piscitella from Roma, as part of the deal that saw Mattia Destro go the other way.

Destro completed his move to the Giallorossi last week, with Grifone sporting director Stefano Capozucca then clarifying today that as part of that deal, they would receive Piscitella and Valerio Verre in exchange.

Piscitella’s move to Marassi, which is understood to be on a co-ownership basis, has now been confirmed via the Gialloblu’s official website.

It is announced that the 19-year-old will finalise the technicalities of the deal tomorrow morning, before joining his new teammates in pre-season preparations.

Midfielder Verre, 18, is thought to be on the verge of also agreeing a co-ownership deal with Genoa, with ds Capozucca claiming that as soon as he joins he will sent to Siena on loan.
