Cristian Chivu has been diagnosed with “a dislocated second toe on his right foot” after Inter’s Europa League win in Split.

The Romanian defender limped off at half-time during Thursday’s 3-0 victory over Hajduk in the Third Preliminary Round of the Europa League.

“Chivu underwent diagnostic procedures at the IRCCS Policlinico San Matteo Foundation in Pavia” on Friday, confirmed a club statement.

“The tests, supervised by Inter's chief of medical staff Franco Combi, revealed that the Romanian defender has dislocated the second toe on his right foot.”

It is not clear how long this will keep Chivu out of action for.
