Zdenek Zeman is still not happy even after Mattia Destro and Federico Balzaretti scored on their debuts in Roma’s 13-0 win. “We could’ve done better.”

The Giallorossi demolished Austrian side Irdning during their pre-season friendly on Sunday evening, as new buys Destro (with a brace) and Balzaretti found the net.

“We could’ve done better, but I guess I’m happy,” the Coach told Roma Channel.

“We are trying to learn how to play together. I think we achieved that and we had fun.

“I am satisfied with the new arrivals. We already knew what Balzaretti could do, while Piris is young and needs to settle in. Despite the heavy training schedule, Destro moved well.”

Francesco Totti continually switched positions with Destro between the centre-forward and left side of a trident attack.

“Totti made four or five assists that were really his style,” added Zeman.

“Daniele De Rossi played too many long balls, though. I’d prefer him to build the play a bit more. I’m happy with the attack and I’m not worried about that. We just need to find the right timing and movement.

“Do we need a right-back? Let’s not forget Balzaretti played on the right at Euro 2012.”
