Pescara’s President Daniele Sebastiani has declared himself happy with his club’s work in this transfer market and promises one more ‘important’ arrival.
The Delfini are preparing for their first Serie A campaign for 20 years, but began the summer by selling promising midfielder Marco Verratti to Paris Saint-Germain and losing a number of the young stars who earned their promotion last term. Even so, Sebastiani sees Pescara as suitably strengthened.
The southerners have brought in a number of new faces, from Genoa goalkeeper Mattia Perin and defenders Uros Cosic and Alessandro Crescenzi to midfielders Birkir Bjarnason, Vladimir Weiss [pictured] and Brazilian playmaker Lucas Chiaretti.
“As I think it has been noted, we are keeping all our promises, perhaps even achieving something more,” Sebastiani reflected.
“Now onwards we will focus only on a striker. We have ourselves in so many negotiations. Of course, competition is strong, but when the market enters the final stage situations unlock.
“I think I can say that at the right time Pescara will bring in an important player to focus their attack on.”
