The Azzurri won the third of their four world titles in Spain three decades ago in a tournament made famous for top scorer Paolo Rossi’s hat-trick against Brazil in the Second round and for La Nazionale’s 3-1 final defeat of West Germany in Madrid.

Lining up this Wednesday in Bern, Switzerland for an international friendly with England, Italy’s kit manufacturers Puma have created an exclusively designed jersey for the players to wear to celebrate the 30th anniversary of that World Cup success.

The shirt will follow the same general shape as the current home kit, but will have a specially altered collar and badge to mimic details of the top Italy’s players made iconic at Spain 82. The shirt will be made available on worldwide sale for a limited run.

Cesare Prandelli, Antonio Nocerino and Alessandro Diamanti presented the shirts at a Press conference today.
