Juventus have asked Atalanta to loan them Federico Peluso for the 2012-13 campaign, reports La Stampa.

The left-back is of interest to the Italian champions and talks have been on-going for most of the summer.

Today’s report claims that Juve want to net the stopper on a temporary basis, with the option to sign him outright next summer for €4m.

Peluso, who made his Italian international debut last week against England, is of interest to Napoli too. He was also paired with Manchester City in June.

The Roman, now 28, moved to Atalanta in January 2009 after spells at Pro Vercelli, Ternana and Albinoleffe.
