Udinese boss Francesco Guidolin has described tonight’s Champions League tie against Sporting Braga as the biggest of his career.

The Italian outfit will entertain their Portuguese opponents with the hope of qualifying for the competition proper after the 1-1 away draw last week.

“It is the most important game of my life, there is nothing more to say,” the tactician, whose side fell to Arsenal at the same stage last season, noted.

“We have been chasing this dream for two years and perhaps so have our opponents. We know what’s at stake here and we want to win.”

Udinese do have the advantage thanks to their away goal, but the former Parma tactician insists his side won’t sit back and defend.

“I have prepared for the game without thinking of the first-leg result,” he added. “Qualification is at stake and the percentages are equal.”

Guidolin is also respectful of the threat that Braga will bring with them to the Stadio Friuli on Tuesday night.

“Braga are an excellent team and we knew it before the first match,” he underlined. “They have quality and experience.

“Improving our second half performances – after the ties at Braga and Fiorentina – or paying close attention to their long-range shots will not be enough to defeat them.

“We need to play with focus throughout because we will be facing a very lively team.”

Udinese squad: Brkic, Pawlowski; Armero, Basta, Benatia, Coda, Danilo, Domizzi, Heurtaux, Pasquale, Pereyra; Badu, Battocchio, Faraoni, Pinzi, Willians; Di Natale, Fabbrini, Maicosuel, Muriel.
